Worldwide Android Smartphones and Tablets 06/06/14 – Smartisan T1, Galaxy Tab 4 and More!

Smartisan T1 is a Glass Smartphone from China With Character

Chinese smartphone buyers are going to get something different to buy in July, with the launch of the Smartisan T1. A device encased in glass, that offers a balance throughout, with two buttons either side that are parallel with each other and an OS that is like none other. There’s a tiled design on the homescreen of this device that is easily customizable and is more about getting you to where you want to go, without the added hassle. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 2,570 mAh battery and has a 5-inch 1080p display. It’s even got its own audio chip to produce excellent quality sound. It’s got its own OS and it’s easily one of the more unique devices on the market in China right now. We’ll be talking about this more, but those in China should be able to get their hands on the device next month.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 8 and 10.1 Available to Order from Samsung in India

For those in India looking to get their hands on the latest Galaxy Tabs from Samsung, the fourth line of the tablets is now available to order from Samsung’s Indian website. The 8-inch version of the guitar is to cost RS 23,960 and the 10.1-inch version is to cost RS 30,498. Unfortunately for Samsung, these tablets seem a little overpriced, with low-resolution displays of 1280 x 800 and unnamed quad-core CPUs. Still, these are Samsung devices and they’re both running Android 4.4 KitKat, certainly better than most cheaper alternatives floating around.

Oppo N1 Mini to go On Sale in China June 11th

The smaller version of the 6-inch Oppo N1 has been unveiled and will be on sale in China from June 11th. The device is to be officially announced June 10th, so right now we don’t know too much about it. We do that it’ll be supporting 4G networks and feature the same swivelling 13-megapixel camera that made the original N1 so popular, and it’s going to be a Sony sensor just the same. A device that’s shaping up nicely, let’s hope we don’t see a MediaTek CPU in this one.

Gioneer Pioneer P2S Goes on Sale for Less Than RS 7,000

The Pioneer P2S isn’t the greatest device from Gionee over the years, but the dual-core Android 4.2 device is extremely good value at just RS 6,499. The 5-megapixel camera isn’t going to be the best, but we doubt that will matter too much. For this sort of money you could do much worse and yeah, the 4-inch 800 x 480 display isn’t anything to write home about, but to replace a broken device or to fill the gap until your next device arrives, this is a decent bet and it’s available in black, yellow, white and red colors.

Sony’s XSP- N1BT Now Available in India

For those looking to bring their smartphones into their cars, Sony has an answer for you. The NFC-equipped cradle is now available in India for RS 12,990. It’s great for getting music from your phone in the car and will still work with CD and radio. Best thing is that it will read out your texts and emails, perfect for those of you who do a lot of traveling.

XOLO Q1200 Officially Announced, to Cost RS 13,999

The latest device from XOLO is now official and will be on sale in India from June 10th. It features a MediaTek MT6582 which means Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is running on the device. However, it’s also got a 5-inch 720p IPS display, a sizable 2,000 mAh battery and 1GB of RAM. Not too bad for a device that’s built well and costs just RS 13,999. XOLO have packed it with nifty software features as well, like gestures and double-tap to wake.
