Amazon have been busy-little-bees lately, attempting to take over our livingrooms with their Fire TV box as well as launching their very first smartphone, the appropriately names Amazon Fire phone. Today, they are in the news again but for entirely different reasons. Whereas the Fire TV and Fire Phone have divided opinions amongst Android fans, this is something that everyone with a Twitter or Facebook account can get behind. A give-away.
That’s right, Amazon have a new Sweepstakes competition where one lucky participant can win $2,500 (£1473) in gift cards. All you have to do is click the source link and follow @Amazon on your Twitter account and allow Amazon to send a Tweet saying “Check it out! @Amazon is giving away $2500 in Amazon.com Gift Cards! No Purchase Necessary:” and then fill in your name and address. Alternatively, you can just like Amazon’s FaceBook page, enter your name and address or login to your Amazon account, enabling Amazon to insert a post to your profile saying that you’ve entered their ‘Beat The Heat’ Sweepstakes. Pretty simple really, with very little effort needed. The ‘Beat The Heat” Sweepstakes runs until August 3rd, and needless to say, with this competition being run by Amazon.com, only U.S. residents are eligible to enter.
Having browsed Amazon’s Facebook page looking for the “Beat The Heat Sweepstakes” link, I also found another give-away competition for you. Instead of gift cards though, Amazon are giving away what they call the Amazon basics Ultimate Tablet Accessory Pack that appears to include a tablet cover, stylus, Bluetooth keyboard, tablet stand and tablet bag. Not a bad prize if you’ve just bought yourself a tablet. To enter this give-away, all you have to do is like the Facebook post and say what your favourite tablet activity is; reading, gaming, watching movies, etc. as well as including the words ‘AmazonGiveaway’ in your comment. This give-away is a little more time sensitive, in that it closes at 11:59PM PDT leaving you just a few hours to enter. Again, you must be a U.S. resident to enter this competition as well.
