Android App Updates for July 18th, 2014: CloudMagic, PayPal, LocalCast, and More

Paypal updates to v5.5

This week the folks over at PayPal updated their app to version 5.5. Which brings in a few new features. But no material design just yet, unfortunately. For those interested, here’s what’s new: “Loyalty cards, login, and more! Vroom! Faster logins are here. We did some work behind the scenes to speed things up for you. Link all of your favorite loyalty cards to PayPal. Carry virtual versions on your phone. Your wallet deserves the break. We’re no longer offering the “scan a check” feature. Not to worry. You can still add money to PayPal directly from your bank account.”

LocalCast goes Material Design

Some of you may know about LocalCast, but its basically a media player that supports Chromecast. A lot of people use it to cast videos from Showbox onto their TV. Well this week, LocalCast got a nice update. It’s gone completely Material Design, and I must say, it looks amazing.

ESPN Fantasy Football App Gets updated

ESPN also updated their Fantasy Football app this week. It’s got a pretty large changelog, so here we go. “NEW! Alerts! Get notified of trades, injuries, and scoring updates. NEW! Sign in or register right from the app or use Facebook to login! NEW! Draft: live auction and snake drafts, including access to our Mock and Live Draft Lobbies. NEW! Invite friends to your league via social media NEW! An updated modern look and feel Team and Roster Management: Start/bench players, add, drop, and claim players off waivers, propose, accept or reject trades. FantasyCast Live Scoring Fantasy News and Videos from ESPN fantasy analysts. Talk trash to your weekly opponent, or if you’re feeling brave to your entire league.”

CloudMagic jumps to v5.0

CloudMagic saw an update this week that took it from version 1.0 to 5.0 That’s quite the jump. Here’s the full changelog: “You can now access your complete mailbox. Set email alert notification tone of your choice. Set nickname to your email accounts. Cards are faster than ever before. A default option to ‘reply’ an email instead of ‘reply all’.”
