Android OTA: Device Updates & Firmware Report – July 11th Edition

Sprint’s G Flex Gets WiFi Calling in Latest Update

Those on Sprint rocking the curvacious LG G Flex will be pleased to hear that yet another OTA is upon you. This update should be rolling out right now and brings the software up to version LGLSZV7 and brings with it WiFi calling and some other bug fixes. There’s also a ‘Google patch’ listed for security and such as well, which is always lovely to hear.

Verizon’s Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Gets Small Update

For those of you out there with the massive Galaxy Not 12.2 on Big Red, a bug fix update should either have already hit your device, or be on its way. This update is mostly a bugfixer and updates all those lovely apps that are preloaded on there by Amazon and Verizon, isn’t that nice of them? The update will bring your Note 12.2 up to P905VVRUANE4 and shouldn’t be too big a download.

Gear Live Gets Yet Another Update to KMV78X

Android Wear is here to stay, and the G Watch and Gear Live are here for us to enjoy. Both watches got updated to KMV78V last week, but now the Gear Live is getting updated to KMV78X, which doesn’t appear to do too much. It’s more than likely a device specific update, as my G Watch is still on the KMV78V build of Android 4.4W.

Moto E Gets Android 4.4.4 Update

It appears that Motorola is rolling out Android 4.4.4 for the Moto E, which is a pretty nice update for such a device to have and while the point release isn’t really much of anything, it’s nice to see Motorola stick to their track record when it comes software updates.
