For all the amazing things the Chromecast is now capable of and will be capable of in the future as more updates will surely come, there is a couple of things regarding the device that have been lacking. One of those things is the way the official webpage for the Chromecast is set up in that you really haven’t had that great of a list of what apps actually have Chromecast support. Prior to now, Google had only set it up so that the most popular apps were listed in the “Chromecast” page, which pretty much just consisted of the media applications like HBO GO, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora and the like.
If you wanted to see what all other apps were supported for use with the little HDMI streaming dongle from Google, you basically just had to do a web search and hope to come across someone who had created a list of everything, or search through apps you were hoping had support and check each one manually in the Play Store. Since the Chromecast’s launch, there have be a lot of applications that have gained support for the device and can be used to stream the content from your device to the big screen, and as of today Google has given the Chromecast page a face lift that now includes all the Chromecast supported apps. Thankfully, Google has now done the hard work for us, and users can now see everything that can be used with the dongle, without having to do and hunt them down.
There is even an integrated search function so that you can find things more easily than one would have expected, and to say the least it’s actually a pretty pleasing experience. Finding apps no longer requires you to do research like you’re trying to pass a finals exam and should you actually want to search for something you have the capability. Using the Chromecast has just gotten better with the new “Cast Screen” feature for devices that are supported and now finding apps to use is a breeze. Check out the webpage for yourself and see just how easy it is to find Chromecast supported apps, you shouldn’t be disappointed.
