By now just about everyone with an Android phone or tablet has probably seen and used Google Now, even if just once or twice. If you’re familiar with the feature on Android devices than you probably also know the banner pictures that are shown at the top behind the search bar, which constantly change based on different factors like location, day or night, etc. The style of those banners is uniquely Google Now and for the most part wouldn’t be mistaken. NowPaper is an app that puts together a bunch of wallpapers with the memorable Google Now banner style artwork right for your homescreen. You can choose from different kinds of wallpapers in the landscapes category like Rocky Mountains, Coastal Wind Farm, Great Plains, Canyon and more. There are also four different times of the day to select as well, with dawn, day, dusk and night selections. While there are already a decent number of choices for wallpapers and some from various popular cities, there will be more cities and landscapes consistently added in future updates too, from around the US and probably the globe, as well as random landscapes that could be familiar or might just be something worked up by the artists imagination. One thing is certain, this app definitely needs a northwest wallpaper.
NowPaper also has Muzei support, so if you use that app to time cycle your wallpapers you can set it up so that Muzei will select the appropriate wallpaper for the time of day just like Google now does automatically or you can simply set it to cycle through them all at some random interval of time.
