HP may come up with three new tablets in the market within next few weeks. If the rumours are to be believed then Huawei is the one manufacturing them but they will be rebranded and tweaked with minor upgrades. These three tablets are being named as HP Slate 10 Plus, HP Stale 8 Plus and HP 10 Plus. The 2 tablets with the ‘Slate branding’ are said to be the rebranded version, whereas HP 10 Plus does not seem to replicate any Huawei model. Let us dig into their technical specifications.
HP Slate 10 Plus has a 10.1 Inches IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels of resolution. Its performance is supported by a HiSilicon V9R1 quad-core processor (operating at the frequency of 1.5 GHz) and 1GB of RAM. It will have an internet storage cap of 16GB (with external memory support) and will be running an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The primary camera on the tablet is of 3 MP along with a VGA front facing camera and it will also support LTE connectivity. The specifications and design of this tablet resembles to that of Huawei MediaPad 10 Link+ and the reported price of this device is $430.
HP Slate 8 Slate seems to be a rebranded version of Huawei Mediapad M1, and everything apart from its screen size and the LTE connectivity is same as that of HP Slate 10 Plus. It will carry the same HiSilicon V9R1 processor, 1 GB RAM and same camera. The price of this tablet has been reported as $400.
HP 10 Plus is the last tablet in this trio, which does not have a ‘Slate’ branding. It seems to be the only brand new version in this trio. HP 10 Plus has a screen size of 10.1 Inches but with better resolution (when compared with HP Slate 10 Plus) of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This is powered by an unknown processor based on the architecture of Cortex A7 with 4 cores and operating and clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. The primary camera of the device is of 5MP along with a secondary camera of 2MP. It will also have an internet memory cap of 16GB supporting external memory extension. This tablet will have a 7700 mAh battery and is expected to land up in the market at the price of $320.
