LG G Pad 7.0 LTE Reportedly Heading to AT&T

It looks like AT&T is about to get the new LG G Pad 7.0 LTE pretty soon. According to Evleaks, who posted a picture of the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE which seems headed to the FCC – which you can see above – also has an AT&T logo on the back of the device. Which tells us it’s for AT&T and not any other carrier. But it’s still important that we remember that just because this picture has leaked out doesn’t mean it’ll ever get released. I mean we’ve seen plenty of tablets and smartphones leak out for carriers and never get past the carrier testing and get released. Anyone remember the HTC Merge? So while it’s strongly likely that it’ll be coming to AT&T, don’t take it as confirmed until AT&T themselves confirm it.

The LG G Pad 7.0 features a 7-inch 1280×800 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot that supports up  to 64GB, 3.15MP camera, 1.3MP camera on the front, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 4000mAh battery inside. So it’s a somewhat decent mid-range tablet. The newer G Pad tablets are meant to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 lineup and not Samsung’s high-end tablets like the Galaxy Tab S. And in that case, LG is doing a great job with competing with their arch rival, Samsung. I wouldn’t expect the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE to cost more than $300 off contract though. Maybe $350, seeing as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 LTE is $369 off contract.

How many of you would be interested in picking up the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE from AT&T? It’s definitely a decent tablet, and one that has sold pretty well for LG so far – as far as WiFi only tablets go. Although I’d love for a carrier to pick up their 10-inch G Pad, this is still a great buy and one that many will love.
