Electronics giant LG has officially introduced to us the LG G3 Beat. Unlike the flagship LG G3, the G3 Beat isn’t as advanced as its older brother. What makes the Beat a less advanced version are the specs. To start, the G3 Beat has a 5 inch screen with 720p resolution while the flagship G3 has a 5.5 inch Quad HD screen. To add to the low end specs are a Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor with only 1GB of RAM. The storage can also be expanded but to only 8GB. When the G3 Beat was announced, the release did not detail the price for the device but according to LG Germany, the G3 Beat will cost €349.
As for availability, the LG G3 beat will go on sale in South Korea July, 18. The G3 Beat also has a different name in Asia, going by the G3 s. After the South Korean release, the LG G3 Beat will go on sale in Germany mid-August. The device is also expected to release in other European countries around the same time or close to it. We have no word on whether or not the LG G3 will enter the US market. It would be nice if it could being that its a more smaller, lightweight version of the flagship G3. Although the Beat may not have the flashy features such as Quad HD or a 5.5 inch display, the Beat would suit people who are looking for a mid-range device that gets the job done just as well as any other phone.
Costing only €349, the LG G3 Beat will be available in South Korea and European countries. If you are living out of the states and are interested in scooping up the G3 Beat/G3 s you can purchase it once released in the available markets. If not, let us know what you think about the device. Do you think the Beat is a good investment for someone looking for a phone with a reasonable price? Or should people go for the colossal LG G3? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
