LG G3 is arguably LG’s best smartphone to date. It has basically everything a great smartphone should have, beautiful design with attention to details, differentiates from the rest, great display and camera, rather solid software and so on. For those of you who are not familiar with the specs, here’s the rundown: Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 5.5″ Quad HD display (2560 x 1440), 16GB of internal storage accompanied by 2GB of RAM or 32GB of storage accompanied by 3GB of RAM (2 models), in both cases you have an option to expand the internal storage via MicroSD card up to 128GB. The phone has a 13MP rear-facing camera with a laser autofocus flanking it while there’s 2.1MP camera on the front of the device.
That being said, the LG G3 is currently offered in 3 color variants, Metallic Black, Shine Gold and Silk White. LG did however announce 5 colors on May 27 along with the announcement of the device itself, the colors that are missing are Moon Violet and Burgundy Red. We wrote about these a couple of days ago and now we can confirm they will be available in August. Here’s LG’s official statement according to Phone Arena: “Additional G3 colors such as Moon Violet and Burgundy Red will be rolled out in select markets starting in August and continuing over several weeks. Exact colors and dates will be decided locally in conjunction with carriers. Announcements will be made in each market at the time of availability.”
There are no exact market or dates when the colors will be available, but you’ll know more as soon as we do. As far as U.S. goes, LG G3 is available in Metallic Black and Silk White on Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile and as for Sprint, you can find it there in Metallic Black and an exclusive (as far as U.S. goes) Shine Gold color.
Did you already get the LG G3 or are you going to wait for one of the upcoming color options?
