The Moto G has proven successful for Motorola and has helped put them back on the map in Europe, proving especially successful across the pond in the UK. Since then, we’ve seen the launch of the Moto E, an even more affordable device that still offers excellent performance without the large price tag. In fact, the Moto E and Moto G have proven to outperform higher-end devices as a result of Motorola’s obsessive attention to detail in getting the most out of their hardware. With up-to-date versions of Android, it’s unsurprising to see these budget devices prove popular. Successors to these devices will of course be making their way to market, and now some leaked images of what could be parts for either the Moto G or Moto E have leaked out.
According to the fresh leak on China’s Sina Weibo social media network, the parts picture below are from either a Moto E or Moto G, and that the device will be a lot thinner than their predecessors. It seems a little early to talk about a new Moto E, but a second Moto G launching in the Fall is more likely. After all, budget devices that cost very little off-contract are great holiday sellers as parents often buy them for their teens without the worry of paying a monthly bill. To my eyes, these parts look like they’re destined for the next-generation Moto G, and considering that there isn’t a cutout for the flash as there is in the current Moto G, Motorola could be using a similar camera and flash design from the leaked Moto X+1 we just saw.
According to the leakster responsible for these images, this upcoming Moto G will sport a Full HD display as well as a thinner profile. Considering the Moto G launched with a 720p display when everyone else was launching qHD panels a Full HD panel doesn’t seem all that unlikely however, squeezing in all those pixels into a 4.5-inch or 4.7-inch display ins’t going to be cheap and it does seem unlikely that Motorola would launch the X+1 with a Full HD display the same as their budget-minded Moto G.
