We’ve been hearing lots of rumors of the HTC One Remix lately. It’s said to be the HTC One Mini 2, but for Verizon. So naturally, big red had to change the name of the device, just because. Now according to Evleaks the device will be launching this Thursday alongside their loyalty program, Verizon Selects. We don’t have any official specs for the HTC One Remix just yet, but it looks a lot like the HTC One Mini 2, so we are guessing that is what this device really is. Which the One Mini 2 features a 4.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. There’s also a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing shooter. It’s also running on Android 4.4.2 and Sense 6.0. All powered by a 2110mAh battery inside.
If this is indeed a mid-range device from HTC and Verizon, I’d expect the specs to be around those there. And I’d also expect it to be on sale for $49 on contract, since the LG G3 is currently $99 on contract. Although it might even be better if it were free on contract. Of course, with this being Verizon’s HTC One Remix, they had to add some logos on there. So we’ve got a Verizon 4G LTE logo on the back below the HTC logo, and the Verizon logo on the front, where the HTC logo is on every other device. So there’s that. But if you don’t mind the Verizon logo’s then it’s probably not a big deal.
If Verizon is indeed launching the HTC One Remix on Thursday, we should hear something official from the carrier in the next day or two. So for now we’re treating this as a rumor until Verizon announces it officially. How many of you are interested in the HTC One Remix on Verizon?
