Runtastic Announces Their Orbit Band Fitness Tracker, Shipping August 11th For $119.99

Runtastic, one of the popular fitness apps that you can find on the Play Store to help you track your steps, count your calories, map your workouts using GPS and so much more is coming out with a fitness tracker/running watch called the Runtastic Orbit band. Runstastic has plenty of fitness apps for running, hiking, biking and so on, and the Orbit Band isn’t their first fitness related product. But it is the newest product that they’re launching and it is their first wearable, so it’s sure to garner a little bit of attention among all the other wearables that are getting released or have already released this year.

Runtastic’s Orbit band as we stated will act as your fitness tracker as well as a running watch, so you can keep up on important fitness details while you’re also keeping up on your exercise. Just like other fitness trackers out there the Orbit will track your steps and calories burned, and monitor your sleep patterns presumably to help wake you up at the best time much like Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock does. It also has a water proof rating of up to 300 feet, something that should come in handy if you like to run in the rain or happen to get it wet any other number of various ways.

The Orbit’s appeal may come for some people in the functions that it provides once you connect it up to the application, like seeing your current pace, or what your distance is so far since you’ve started running. You can use the Orbit to set and reach personal goals and have it notify you with notification alerts or vibration  as well as have it monitor your daily progress. The Orbit uses Bluetooth Smart technology so it’s power friendly for longevity, and it supports Android device running Android 4.3 or higher so that makes it compatible with a wide range of devices. When the Orbit launches it will end up coming with two colored bands, Blue and Black, and it retails for $119.99 and is shipping August 11th. The Runtastic is available to order now, and you can even pick up extra colored wrist bands for $34.99, in sets of yellow, orange, and pink, or a set of army green, grey, and white.
