Samsung has been evolving, not only as a leading company in the mobile tech world, but as an eco-friendly company. A blogpost made by Samsung reveals how they have been evolving to become more eco-friendly through its packaging. The diagram shows improvements that have been made over the years starting from their first Galaxy phone to the current Samsung Galaxy S5 packaging. According to Samsung, “As eco-friendly philosophy and efforts of Samsung Electronics have been maintained throughout the Galaxy Series, we would like to show you how packaging Galaxy S series has evolved.” The information that they have based the infographic off of are based on models from the European market.
When taking a look at the diagram that Samsung has put together, you can see the incremental changes that were made in the packaging of the Galaxy series. Improvements such as minimizing the size of the packaging while the devices grow in size, and scaling down the thickness are descriptively shown. The infographic shows you the lid view and side view along with measurements that give you the idea that the packaging is in fact improving. Samsung also shows how they have changed the material used for the packaging to be more eco-friendly, going from Lux Fabric, to Eco Paper on the last two Galaxy Models. The infographic even goes down to the amount of color the packaging uses. The information that Samsung has released is interesting and the goal of educating their customers has been reached with the provided infographic. Its great to know that Samsung is taking these steps to help out the environment due to the current situation our world is in now.
