Samsung Galaxy F Launching in September

The latest rumor form the Samsung rumor mill is telling us that the Galaxy F is going to be launching this September to be in direct competition with the Apple iPhone. We’ve been hearing rumors of the iPhone 6 having a larger display, so this is Samsung trying to compete directly with their biggest customer. As most of you know, Apple uses Samsung to makes a bunch of components for their mobile devices.

This is supposedly the Prime version of the Galaxy S5 that we’ve been hearing so much about. It’s stated to have a 2560×1440 resolution display, a metal unibody, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, and 3GB of RAM. Other specs we are unaware of right now. It’s basically what we thought the Galaxy S5 was going to be earlier this year. The specs should be pretty similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A that they recently launched in Korea.

The Galaxy F is supposed to be a pretty good looking device, made of metal and flagship specs. We’ve also heard that the Galaxy F is going to be replacing the Galaxy S lineup later this year. Now that’s still not confirmed, but it wouldn’t surprise me. But here’s the interesting thing. Samsung typically announces their Galaxy Note smartphone in September. So does this mean we will be seeing two flagships from Samsung in September? Or is the Galaxy Note 4 going to be announced earlier or later than it was last year? Who knows. But it’s pretty interesting to see what happened.

The Galaxy F does look pretty good. Although I’m not sure about the gold trim on the sides, not a big fan of that but they did do that on the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 tablets they announced a little while ago.
