Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 Lands on T-Mobile shelves July 23rd

We’ve known for a while that the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 was coming to T-Mobile this summer, but now we have an official launch date. Today, Pre-orders opened up for the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and on July 23rd it’ll be available in store and on their website. So that those looking for a nice 8-inch tablet can pick up the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 3 weeks from today. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will be available for $0 down and $16/month for 24 months. Or you can buy it outright at $384. Which is a bit pricey, but that is mostly due to the LTE radio that’s inside the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for T-Mobile. Don’t forget that it’ll come with 200MB of free data each month. So you’re basically getting a 4G LTE tablet  with free data. Not bad right? And a good way to check out T-Mobile’s network if you don’t want to use a iPhone 5S.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a 8-inch 1280×800 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot and a 3MP camera on the back. Not bad specs, we already reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 and we were quite impressed with the tablet, given the price. And with the 8-inch version having identical specs, aside from the display, it should be a pretty decent mid-range tablet as well.

Verizon Wireless is already selling the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 on their network for about $279 which isn’t a bad price, and about $100 cheaper than the T-Mobile version. But it’s nice to see that at least T-Mobile and Verizon are getting their tablet portfolios built up and are offering quite the offering of tablets these days. I think T-Mobile may have launched more tablets this year than smartphones so far, and the same goes for Verizon. How many of you are interested in the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 on T-Mobile?
