And the Samsung marketing machine keeps churning.
Samsung has just posted a new commercial for their Galaxy Tab S, which we all expected them to do as this is their flagship tablet right now. They are really pushing the Galaxy Tab S more than any of their other tablets. And this time around the focus on these commercials are the “Galaxy Gifts” which is all that free stuff that Samsung bundles with their tablets and smartphones. Including the 48GB of Dropbox space for 2 years, 3 months free or Marvel Unlimited, 6 months free of The New York Times, etc. So basically a commercial saying that Samsung users love bloatware. Somehow I don’t think this is completely true. While I’m sure there are a few people that like some of Samsung’s bloatware, studies show that their apps don’t get opened as much as Google’s software and other apps. which isn’t really a surprise, actually.
“With Galaxy Gifts, Samsung has teamed up with over 30 leading content providers and services to entertain and help you get things done,” Samsung states. “This includes access to over 15,000 Marvel Comics, in-game credits for Asphalt 8, free subscriptions to Wall Street Journal, and much more.”
While we do like getting free things, I think it’d be better if Samsung just gave us a nice $50 Google Play Gift card with the purchase of a Galaxy Tab S. Who else agrees? Then we could use it to get whatever we want. I know I wouldn’t use most of the stuff that Samsung gives you with a new tablet or smartphone purchase, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone here, feel free to sound off in the comments below though. How many of you actually use most of the Galaxy Gifts that Samsung gives out with their newer flagship devices? Let us know in the comments down below.
