How It Works: The first thing you’ll have to do is download Monsta Points Reward Charts from the Play Store, after that you can begin to set up the application with your child/children.
The app starts off with a little Monsta Points user guide. After you’re done with each page you can tap the start button to begin. The first thing you’ll need to do is add a child, you do so by entering your kids name and hitting the check mark button. After you have added in your child you can add more depending on how many kids you have or jump right into customizing your Monstas or begin with setting goals and rewards.
Everything feels easily accessible, and the separation of both kids mode, and parents mode activities makes it easy to keep control on goals set and confirmed.
The Monsta lab lets you and your kids customize your funny looking Monstas with tons of varied combination choices, roughly around 700,000 different combinations so no two Monstas have to look a like.
In kids mode, your child uses the wishlist to add in “wishes” of rewards they really want, like game time or ice cream for example. They can also tap the goals chart to mark off if they have completed a goal.
In parents mode,(which is password protected by a user set PIN that the parents create)you can tap the goals chart to add, set, and manage goals like daily repetition or moving them around for prioritization. You can also mark off confirmations for completed goals. The rewards list lets you set the rewards for certain goals you have created.
Opinion: The app is a great idea and looks to be very easy for kids to get into. Using fun little Monsta characters that the kids can create and customize themselves should be engaging, and action of working with goals and completion of those tasks like brushing teeth, cleaning up toys, unloading the dishwasher etc. can help kids understand the concepts of responsibility, while being rewarded by their parents to associate positivity with their responsibilities. You can also sync accounts between devices – both Android and iOS – in case you and your child have their own device to use it on by simply logging in, although past the login Monsta Points needs no internet connection at all.

- Speed (5/5) – The app had absolutely no lag issues for me. None of the animations stuttered when I transitioned from screen to screen and the app responded quickly and accordingly to touch commands
- Features (4/5) – There’s a handful of things to do for both the parents and their children and everything can be kept separate through a PIN code. Some more Monsta interaction or animation would be nice to see.
- Theme (5/5) – The theme is great and has an overall fun environment that can easily keep kids engaged.
- Overall (4/5) – It can be fun for kids and even the parents, and has a cool theme with a positive goal in mind of teaching your kids responsibility.

There’s tons of variation in both goals and rewards/wishlists making it so your kids aren’t always doing the same things and getting the same rewards which should keep them from getting bored.
