Sponsored Game Review: Head Soccer – Brazil Cup 2014

Description: Head Soccer – Brazil Cup 2014 is a free game to celebrate the 2014 World Cup on your Android smartphone or tablet. A head-to-head, simple soccer game which features all 32 teams from this year’s World Cup, Head Soccer pits you – as your chosen team – against one other player from your opposing team with the aim of the game to score goal after goal. Goals are most often scored through headers or just by kicking it over the other player. With a simple control scheme and multiple game modes, Head Soccer – Brazil Cup 2014 is a free-to-play game with lots of accessible fun for soccer fans of all ages.

How it Works: Much like with other Android titles, you’ll need to download Head Soccer – Brazil Cup 2014 from the Play Store and then you’ll be ready to play.

From there, you can choose which game mode you’d like to play. Friendly mode is a single match against an opponent of your choosing, the World Cup mode is a tournament against all the other teams involved, with the League Mode being a slow build up to victory and the Survival mode challenges you to win as many consecutive games as you possibly can.

Here, I’m going to play a simple Friendly match to get used to how the game plays, and I’ll use this opportunity for England to beat Italy as they should have done in the first place.

If this is your first time playing the game, you’ll be given a quick overview of how the controls work as well as some pointers.

A lot of the time, performing a header is the best way to score a goal.

Each player has one half of the pitch to themselves and you have to get the ball past them and then into their net, it’s as simple as that.

Powerups are different depending on which team you choose and can have a really cool effect on the overall game.

Opinion: As an Englishman, you’d imagine that I have a lot to say about games like these, and you’d be right. Head Soccer – Brazil Cup 2014 is a brilliant game that boils down everything from “the beautiful game” and makes it accessible, fun and easy to play. The action-packed, wacky gameplay often takes a little getting used to, but it can be quite challenging and it’s certainly a nice breath of fresh air from the likes of Fifa and Real Football. With all 32 teams from the World Cup, you can use this as an opportunity to replay games you felt your team should have won or just have fun playing the underdog. The survival mode was of particular interest to me and the League Mode is a nice way of pretending you’r actually there.
