You may remember that at CES in January, ZTE announced and showed off this cool little mini projector that was also a mobile hotspot. Well the time has come for that to be available for sale. ZTE and Sprint has now announced the LivePro. Which is their Mobile Hotspot mixed with a mobile projector, which is great for business trips, as it also has a built in battery backup in case your phone needs a little extra juice. The LivePro is going for $449.99, and is a 10-foot projector as well as featuring a 5,000mAh battery inside. It’ll also run on both Sprint’s 3G and 4G LTE networks, along with a 4-inch touch screen and running on Android 4.2.
The LivePro isn’t that big, and it looks to be pretty portable, hence why it’s a mobile projector. It’s also something that we don’t see everyday. Usually we see smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, etc, cross our desk, but to see a mobile hotspot and a projector cross our desk, well that’s something new and different. And definitely something I’m interested in seeing how it holds up.
So far there’s no set release date, but it should be pretty soon. We’re looking at $449.99 as the full price, but that’s not just for a hotspot but also a projector, which isn’t cheap and there’s also a pretty decent sized battery inside to power up additional devices. The Mobile Hotspot can connect to up to 8 devices. Which is pretty much standard these days with mobile hotspots. It does also have a USB port for additional storage. As well as HDMI so you can just plug it into a TV if needed. And there’s also Bluetooth on this LivePro mobile hotspot as well.
