Watchface Bundle App "Wear Face Collection" Now Available For Android Wear

Android Wear is definitely still new and exciting, and while we wait for more devices running the software to hit the market we can at least be pleased with the availability of apps that are already out there for the two Android Wear smartwatches that are currently here, the LG G Watch and the Gear Live. Right now the most customizable thing you can do with your Android Wear devices is switch out the watch faces, and there have already been a few watchfaces to hit the Play Store that have been developed for that purpose. Binary watchface, the matrix code watchface and one that our own Tom Dawson seems to currently be using, the Terminal Watchface.

There are also a good number of watchface designs and options already built in to the watches out of the box, although in my personal taste, none of them are extremely compelling. Thanks to this app from developer Vuxia, Wear Face collection which is now available on the Play Store will give you not just one or two watchfaces for you to swap out at your leisure, but a whole collection of watchfaces just in case you didn’t already have enough. Or, if you’re like me and you just haven’t cared for what was already available. Wear Face collection is also free, which makes this an even better download.

The app supports both the Gear Live and the G Watch, and the unreleased Moto 360 although at current, the app only has square faces available. It’s good news though that the developer appears to be ready to support the 360 once it launches, when the app would likely get an update to provide it with watchfaces as well. The other cool thing about Wear Face collection is that users look to have the capability of picking their choice of backdrop, and then the accompanying clock type to go with it. This gives your watchface options a larger number of combinations as you can mix and match the backdrops with the clocks to find the right one for you. The app as stated above is free to install but it does offer in-app-purchases for some of the watchfaces. The dev states that at least half of the faces are already free and ready for use, with the others requiring a purchase to unlock them. You can grab Wear Face Collection now if you’re looking to spice up the selection of watchfaces you already have installed.
