Acer Liquid Jade Smartphone And Liquid Leap Smartband Heading To UK After IFA

We haven’t heard much from Acer lately, at least as far as their smartphone offerings go. However, they just announced that 2 already announced products will be launched in UK soon. They’ll showcase both of these at this year’s IFA in Berlin. Acer Liquid Jade smartphone and Acer Liquid Leap smartband. Liquid Jade is a mid-range smartphone which features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (storage will depend on the country though, other options will be available) expandable via MicroSD card slot. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor which is closed at 1.3GHz. 13-megapixel camera is located at the back of the device with 2-megapixel shooter being on the front. The device comes with a non-replaceable 2100mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Usual array of sensors and Bluetooth 4.0 EDR are also a part of the package.

Acer Liquid Leap smartband sport a 1-inch touchscreen and it is made out of rubber. This smartband is hypoallergenic and is unisex, designed for both men and women. Liquid Leap can track your steps, running distance, burned calories and sleep times. The device also allows you to control music, when paired to a smartphone you can play, pause or change songs via this smartband. It also has IPX7 certification, in other words it is waterproof. Acer claims battery will last you up to seven days and this smartband sports Bluetooth 4.0 technology in order to connect to your smartphone.

Liquid Jade smartphone will be available in black, white, green and pink colors and the price is still unknown. Liquid Leap smartband on the other hand will be available in all colors listed for Liquid Jade smartphone plus the orange color. This smartband will be available in the UK for £79.99 in late September, while the price and availability of the smartphone is still unknown at this point. As I said in the beginning, both of these products will make an appearance on this year’s IFA, so stay tuned.
