Chromecast Drops to just £18 in the UK!

If you were still looking for a reason to pick up a Chromecast, well here’s a good reason. It’s now just £18. Typically it’s about £30 from Google, and still is. But retailers like Amazon, Currys and Tesco has dropped the price down to just £18. Which is a pretty amazing deal, that’s almost half off, and for this little thing, it’s definitely worth it. Amazon is also offering the Chromecast with free delivery right now, so it’s pretty much a no-brainer right now.

Chromecast already has a ton of apps that support it. Like Google Play Movies, YouTube, Localcast, Avia, HBO Go, and plenty of others. Not to mention new ones are getting Chromecast support all the time. It’s amazing what this cheap dongle can really do. And once it gets updated alongside Android L this fall, it’s going to be even more amazing. The Chromecast is one of those impulse decisions that you won’t regret later on. Because it’s so cheap, yet does so much. And does it all with the greatest of ease as well.

Earlier this summer, Chromecast celebrated it’s birthday and stated that over 400 million casts had been made. Which is quite astounding, although I do wish they had told us exactly how many they sold. I’m sure it’s in the millions. Especially since it was backordered here in the US for weeks and weeks when it was announced last year. Not to mention all the sales we’ve seen of it, especially around Christmas time last year. Google also added the capability to mirror your own Android device’s screen onto the big screen with the app. Which is pretty neat itself. How many of you are still holding out on Chromecast? Why haven’t you picked one up yet? Let us know in the comments down below.
