Samsung have only just officially announced the Galaxy Alpha, their new stylish, premium Android smartphone but it looks like the company has had the device planned for a long time coming. EE, the UK’s largest network has come out and said that they will be carrying the Galaxy Alpha which should be good news to those looking to get their hands on the latest and greatest from Samsung. Especially if said users are looking for a little more premium design and build with their Samsung devices.
Earlier today, the Galaxy Alpha was announced seemingly out of nowhere and while the device only features a 4.7-inch 720p display and other decidedly middling specs like the 1,860 mAh battery, the Galaxy Alpha is still a big release of Samsung. Over the last couple of years, premium and luxurious smartphones have been launching from companies like Vertu and even the likes of Lamborghini. However, these devices are often pretty useless when it comes to being an actual smartphone. With the Galaxy Alpha, Samsung has delivered a device that’s still a Samsung product through and through, but offers users a little more in the way of design and high-end feel.
EE’s Head of Device Portfolio, Nicola Shenton, said that “EE’s superfast 4G network is the perfect partner for Samsung’s new flagship device. With powerful performance and a real emphasis on design, Samsung has developed a great new handset that seamlessly combines style and substance. Add the biggest and fastest 4G network in the UK and you have a smartphone that ticks all the boxes.” Our praise for the internals of the Galaxy Alpha wouldn’t go that far, but it shouldn’t be dismissed either. The Galaxy Alpha will be available to pre-order through EE soon and will be available on their 4GEE and 4GEE Extra plans, with higher-speeds available on their Extra plans. So, if you were thinking of getting the Galaxy Alpha, EE might be one of the first places to look in the UK.
