Infographic: Samsung showcase their Galaxy Tab S Acessories

So, you’ve bought a Samsung Galaxy tab S, and now that you’ve managed to tear your eyes away from the gorgeous Super AMOLED display, you’re wondering what you can buy to complement it, both in the looks and function departments. One of the nicest things about owning a Samsung device, is the variety of accessories that are usually available for them, and here we have some of the available accessories summed up in a great little infographic (below) that Samsung Tomorrow came up with showcasing the Book cover, Simple cover and Bluetooth keyboard.

We’ll start with the Book Cover that is available for both the 8.4- and 10.5-inch Tab S in a multitude of colours :Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Titanium Bronze, Glam Red, Ivory and Electric Blue. The Book cover supports three viewing angles: Viewing Mode which is the steepest angle and to be used for watching videos, Touch mode that is a more shallow angle that is good for playing games, and then we have Typing Mode, which is pretty much self-explanatory. The display automatically turns on and off when you open and close the flap. Samsung claims the cover is made out of ‘Premium’ material, boasting an Ergonomic Stitch and Dot design, and it snaps onto the Tab S by pressing the two buttons on the cover into the two reciprocal areas on the tablet. The Book Cover is available for $69.99 for the Tab S 10.5, and $59.99 for the 8.4-inch version.

On to the Simple Cover, and this is more like a folio cover, in that it doesn’t support different viewing angles, it just snaps on to the tablet, again by pressing the 2 buttons in to the corresponding areas on the tablet. Whilst the design is simple, the Book cover is ultraslim and lightweight and again features the same Stitch and Dot design as the Book Cover. As with the Book cover, its available in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Titanium Bronze, Glam Red and Electric Blue colours. And yes, it does sound as if Samsung have found a book of adjectives in regards to their colour naming scheme. The Simple Cover is available for $39.99 for both the 10.5 and 8.5-inch models.

Finally, we get to the Bluetooth keyboard that can be had in either Titanium Bronze or Dazzling White, and is only available for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The Keyboard acts as a cover for the tablet when it isn’t in use, protecting the display. When it comes time to use the keyboard, all you do is unsnap it, and then place the tablet in the allocated slot at the top-end of the keyboard. A feature of the keyboard is the ‘Special Hot Key’ ability, where you can access various apps such as Gmail or Calendar by pressing a combination of keys. The keyboard weighs in at 389 grams and is 7.5mm thick and there’s a Micro-USB socket included for recharging purposes. Strangely, Samsung only mentions that the keyboard is Bluetooth 3.0 compliant.  As for pricing, well, its a little steep, coming in at $149.99.
