LG G3 Is Now Available in Canada at Rogers, Bell, MTS, SaskTel and Videotron

A couple of weeks ago we did an article that verified that the new LG G3 would be available in Canada on August 1…that day is here and so is the new LG G3.  The new flagship is available on Rogers, Bell, MTS, SaskTel and Videotron.  Rogers has the device for $600 outright and Bell is looking to take $700 – if you go with a two-year contract you are looking at $179.99 to $199.99.  Take a look at their individual websites for exact terms and pricing.

While the LG G3 comes in a couple memory configurations, the Canadian version is the top dog with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and optimized for their market with LTE on AWS as well as 2600MHz and 700MHz.  For the time being, only the Metallic Black will be available, although the Silk White or Shine Gold may eventually find its way into Canada.  LG was able to slip on sale right before the new school year starts…funny how that happens.

When you pick up the LG G3, the first thing you will notice is the smooth, roundness that has that ‘slides right into you hand feel.’  The feeling that you are holding a display in your hand as the bezels are that small.  Speaking of display, we are talking about a 5.5-inch QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a whopping 538 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  Powering the G3 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz with the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage – but there is also a microSD card to add up to an additional 128GB of storage…room for all of your pictures and music.  The other big news is the 13MP camera with an improved OIS+, coupled with a dual-LED flash and Laser Autofocus.  LG also includes a 2.1MP front-facing camera (FFC) for an excellent video chatting experience or a terrific selfie.  A 3,000mAh battery powers the LG G3 – the G2 was proof of LG’s commitment to long battery life and the G3 holds up its end in this department.  The G3 is running the latest Android 4.4.2 OS with its own, very light, Optimus UI.  Check out our complete review of the T-Mobile version of the LG G3 HERE.
