Mophie made a name for itself with iPhone users. And they’ve slowly started making their Juice Packs for Android devices, mostly Samsung devices. Mophie has just announced their Juice Pack for the Galaxy S5 which is launching on September 8th. It’ll cost $99. Yeah it’s a bit costly, but that’s what we kind of expect. As their stuff is always about that much. The battery pack adds an extra 3,000mAh juice to your device, so it likely won’t fully recharge your Galaxy S5, but it will give you enough juice to make it through the day, especially when coupled with their ultra battery saving features.
Mophie is offering this Juice Pack in both black and white. So you can choose one to match your Galaxy S5, unless of course you got the gold one. it will add a bit of bulk to your Galaxy S5, as you basically have a case along with a 3,000mAh battery on the back of it. It also will connect to your Galaxy S5 through the microUSB port at the bottom, so you’ll have a bit of added bulk at the bottom as well. I haven’t ever used a Mophie but I have used another case similar to this, and while I wouldn’t use it everyday, it’s great for those days that are going to be extra long, or maybe you’re going on a road trip or flying somewhere. It’s great for those.
The Galaxy S5 already gets pretty good battery life, so it’s hard to figure out how many of these Mophie will actually sell, but I’m sure they’ll sell plenty of them.
