If there’s one thing that many of us probably have an issue with it’s the multitude of chargers we have sitting around the house. In my case, we have like 6 chargers plugged into a surge protector in one corner of our living room, and while it’s great to have a charger for every device that needs one, it more times than not becomes a hassle due to the tangling of cords and the cumbersome process to undo that madness. This is where the OmniStation from CYSPO would come in extremely handy, and it’s being funded on Kickstarter right now, which you can find the link for at the bottom of this page. The campaign is already 116% funded, and there are still 31 days to go. That means the OmniStation will become a thing and it will make its way into the hands of plenty of backers as well as regular consumers once it’s made available for purchase. You can of course get in on the early digs and score yourself one before anyone else.
Since the campaign still has plenty of time left, that also leaves the door open for some really cool extras to come to the device and give the team at CYSPO what they need to make the OminStation even better. The device is basically a charging hub, that has multiple USB ports for plugging in multiple charger cables, and it keeps all the cords organized and managed by fitting them into fixed channels on the underside of the device. You can check the image at the bottom to see what we mean. The Omnicharger doesn’t just charge things with cables though(the old fashioned way)it also has a spot on top to charge any devices you might have that support wireless charging, so you can maximize the devices getting juiced up.
The OmniStation also makes it easy to interchange the USB charger cables at any time, so you can swap stuff easily and charge what you need. The device supports up to 6 cables, plus the wireless charging pad on top, letting you charge up to 7 devices at one if you have that many. The device is also fairly compact, letting you keep things as organized as possible so you can say goodbye to tangled cords and messy power strips that surely just frustrate you when you go to plug something in. CYSPO says that units will be ready to ship out to backers with an estimated delivery of December 2014, which is just a few months away. Aside from creating something really awesome, they also seem to be just as geeky as us and have a love for Lord of the Rings, as they refer to the OmniStation as the “One Device To Charge Them All.” We got the joke CYSPO, and we appreciated it.
