Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy Grand 2 device is on sale since January. The device is sporting a 5.25″ 720p (1280 x 720) TFT screen, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB. On the back it has an 8MP main camera flanked by a LED flash while you’ll find a 1.9MP shooter on the front for your selfie needs, video calls etc. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor in cooperation with the Adreno 305 GPU for graphics performance. 2600mAh Li-Ion battery is in charge of providing the device enough juice to last you a full day’s use and Android 4.3 JellyBean OS comes out of the box (though you can upgrade that to 4.4.2 KitKat once you power up the device). This device also supports 2 SIM cards, in other words it has Dual SIM capabilities.
This device was available in black, white and pink colors until now. Samsung decided to offer yet another color choice to its customers, it is available in Gold now as well. Gold color is available only in some Asian markets for now, like Malaysia, but it will come to other markets soon (India being one of those markets).
I personally don’t know that many people who like gold-colored smartphones, or anything for that matter, but I’ve seen a few people carry them on the streets. If this is your thing and you just want one of those you can get it if you live over there, there’s no word on other international markets at this point though, Samsung might give us more information in the coming weeks.
