Description: Slippy Sloth is an arcade game for Android that puts you in control of a lovable sloth that has a dream of reaching the top of his little pole. However, there are pesky birds that are stopping him from reaching the top, and it’s up to you to help him move past these nasty birds. Each time you do so adds a point to your score and the higher the score you get, the more cool, retro costumes you’ll unlock for our lovable sloth. In truth, the game does feel a little like Flappy Bird, but as Slippy Sloth focuses more on charm than anything else, it’s easy to say that Slippy Sloth has more charm than Flappy Bird. Is it fun as well though? Lets find out.
How it Works: As with other games available for Android, you’ll need to download Slippy Sloth from the Play Store. After that, you’re good to hit play.
The aim of the game is fairly simple, all you need to do is tap in order to send our Sloth further and further up the pole.
In Slippy Sloth however, you need to keep on tapping to get our lovable pal up above the birds that swoop down. The birds take the same pattern every time, but it can take a while before you figure it out. Each time you get past a bird, a point is added to your score.
The highest I have managed to get so far is 7 points, which took me a little while to get in the first place, when a bird hits our friend, he’s sent right back down to the bottom.
Let’s face it, sloths are cute, sloths are cool and with Slippy Sloth you can add a little more fun and and cool to our friend by dressing him up in funny costumes, which you’ll unlock more of the higher your scores keep going.
Opinion: Let’s get this out of the way first, Slippy Sloth plays and feels like, Flappy Bird. However, the whole game differs from then on, with a unique and retro art style that pretty much sells the cute and cool Sloth and the costume mechanic might be something better suited to younger players, it still put a smile on my face. Sure, this isn’t the best mobile offering I’ve played, but it’s a lot of fun and it’s a nice, cute game that we don’t see enough of these days. It’s nice to be able to pickup a game like this and just play for a little bit with a smile on my face rather than getting frustrated with a level packed full of zombies or something similar.

- Speed (4/5) – The game ran fine and while sloths are supposed to be slow, Slippy Sloth ran just fine.
- Features (4/5) – It’s not exactly packed with features, but the gameplay is quite challenging and the costume side of things is just plain funny.
- Theme (4/5) – I like the retro art scheme and it’s definitely a game that looks like its own game, the funny costumes just help further bring out the silliness of the sloth as well.
- Overall (4/5) – A simple, fun and entertaining game that doesn’t ask too much from its users, Slippy Sloth is a good deal of fun and well worth giving a go. If not just for the ridiculous costumes.

Conclusion: At the end of the day, Slippy Sloth is just a lot of fun and there’s certainly nothing wrong with that at all. Sure, it might not feel like the most original game on the planet, but the game looks good, has some epic charm to it and well, it’s about a Sloth – what’s not to like? Giving Slippy Sloth a go is the best way on finding out whether or not you’ll enjoy the game, but it is without doubt, a nice little bit of fun in a market full of games that are all a little too serious.
