Uncarrier 7.0 Set for September 10th in San Francisco

T-Mobile has just sent out invites to their Uncarrier 7.0 event in San Francisco, and it’s set for September 10th. It’ll run from 1pm to 4pm PST. Which makes it interesting. Because typically Legere’s events are about an hour long, and not three hours long. They are also holding it at a T-Mobile store in San Francisco. Instead of a theater which they did with Uncarrier 5 and 6 earlier this summer. The event is on the corner of Market and 3rd street.

John Legere and the T-Mobile team invite you to join us in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 10 at the T-Mobile store at the corner of Market and 3rd street (669 Market Street).  Doors open at 12:30 pm pacific, and we’ll kick off at 1 pm pacific.”

The invite also says “This time, it’s personal”. Which makes us wonder what Legere has up his sleeve for this round of Uncarrier announcements. At their last event he announced Test Drive where customers on other carriers could test drive their network for a period of time on an iPhone 5S. He also announced Music Freedom, which forgives data used from certain apps so that they don’t count against your data limit. Which were pretty good things, but nothing revolutionary like the first few Uncarrier announcements. So what’s next?

We honestly have no idea, but with it being the day after Apple’s big event, where it’s expected that the iPhone 6, and the new iWatch will be unveiled. So it’ll be interesting to see if this event has anything to do with that, and whether T-Mobile will get as much press coverage as they normally would.

How many of you  are excited to see what John Legere has in store this time around for his magenta faithful? Any thoughts on what he’ll announce in about two weeks? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
