Just last week, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. Both smartphones are due to launch next month in many countries and on all four carriers here in the US. Well we are already seeing the two newest flagship smartphones from Samsung go up for pre-order in Germany. And they aren’t cheap. Right now Amazon Germany has the Galaxy Note 4 for pre-order at €995.91, which is around $1297 USD. That’s pretty expensive, especially for the Galaxy Note 4. I was expecting the Galaxy Note Edge to be closer to that than the Galaxy Note 4. Of course, Notebooksbilliger, redcoon and MediaMarkt has better deals on the Galaxy Note 4 as well, coming in at about €699. Which is much more reasonable.
Now the Galaxy Note Edge is up for pre-order for a hefty price tag of €1000. Which is actually about where I expected the Galaxy Note Edge to land. Since it is a new device and does have a edge display. So it’s going to be more expensive. A lot like the Galaxy Round the LG G Flex from last year. Hopefully when it comes to the US it’s not that crazily priced, but I do expect it to be a bit more than the Galaxy Note 4 will be, especially on contract from one of the carriers.
There’s still no release date for the Galaxy Note 4 or the Galaxy Note Edge. But we are expecting to see it launch next month in a number of countries and on a number of carriers. And as always, we’ll be sure to let you know the release dates and pricing as soon as we know. How many of you are excited to pick up the Galaxy Note 4 or the Galaxy Note Edge?
