While LG isn’t like their South Korean rival, Samsung, who frankly releases too many devices for even us to keep up with it times, they are expanding their portfolio. Like HTC and Motorola, LG have seen a real opportunity to make a name for themselves in emerging markets, and that’s just what they’re going to do with the new LG G3 Stylus, their latest addition to what has quickly become a G3 line of devices. The G3 Stylus follows the overall design of the G3, but doesn’t feature the same sort of mouth-watering specs and instead pushes value rather than performance.
The G3 Stylus features a 5.5-inch 960 x 540 IPS panel which sports more bezel than we’re used to seeing from LG and is powered by an unknown 1.3 Ghz quad-core CPU with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. So while the specs aren’t exactly impressive, LG is packing in a Rubberdium (their word, not ours) stylus that slides inside the G3 Stylus to help you take advantage of that larger display with apps like QuickMemo+ and other add-ins. As well, the G3 Stylus features many of the same features that debuted with the G3, including the innovative Knock Code feature to keep your device safe.
Elsewhere though, the device does feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and all the software features from the G3 itself, which will make this a little more attractive to buyers. It’ll be available in Black, Gold and White in markets like Brazil starting this week. It’ll be heading to the rest of Latin America, Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States in the coming weeks and LG has said that the device will be price locally closer to its launch, but we can’t expect this to cost too much, after all LG is aiming for quality, and value, rather than anything else.
