Meizu MX4 is all over the news lately. This premium Chinese phone seem to be in high demand, not only in China but the rest of the world as well. Meizu allowed customers outside of China to pre-order the device recently and then removed the option. It is available once again now and in order for you to buy the phone, Meizu shared additional details about the whole purchase process if you’re buying the phone and live outside of China. So, here’s the thing, Meizu MX4 costs 1799 Yuan in China (approximately $293) while it is price at 2700 Yuan for international customers ($449), this is a 16GB version I’m talking about. There were some complaints about that price, so Meizu decided to let you know via Facebook that shipping and even tax is included in that price if you’re buying the phone outside of China. If you live in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, Australia or New Zealand you don’t have to pay anything extra for shipping or tax, it’s all included in the price. It seems there are more countries to which Meizu is ready to ship this device without charging extra for shipping and tax, the company said to contact them if you’re not sure whether this applies to your location.
You can also buy the phone from resellers if you prefer, like GearBest or Comebuy, though this purchase goes straight through Meizu and it doesn’t cost anything extra (depending on your location). I’d argue this is a great deal for this device, its premium build and rather solid specifications might be enough to convince you to purchase it. Talking about specs, the device features a 5.36-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, 2GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of storage (16 and 32GB versions currently available for international purchase). The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6595 octa-core processor which comes with PowerVR Series 6 GPU. 20.7-megapixel dual flash, dual tone camera is located at the back of the device while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper on the front. 3,100mAh non-removable battery is located inside and the device comes with Android 4.4.4 out of the box with Meizu’s Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it.
