With Samsung’s Galaxy Note series devices, the main draw has almost always been the bigger screen and the capable use of the S-Pen that came with it. It’s called the Note for that one simple reason, because you can use the S-Pen for all manner of tasks and write the same way you would if you were writing or taking notes. Although the Note series of devices has always been regarded by many as a cut above the rest of Samsung’s lineup, Samsung has still had issue with bringing something to the table that felt truly high end. With the Note 4 and their new lineup of accessories, that starts to change, this is evident with Samsung’s partnership with Luxury company Montblanc who will be making a new stylus for the Note that looks and presumably feels and writes like a luxury, high-end pen.
The Extreme ScreenWriter pen from Montblanc is their first pen designed specifically for use with touch screens like the Note 4, and it carries the capability of different sized tips for potential various uses like taking notes, sketching or whatever else you might need the varied sized tips for. The Extreme ScreenWriter isn’t only designed for use with touch screens though as it can function and perform like an actual pen as well, allowing you to jot down notes on paper too, so no matter where you are and what tools you have at your disposal, you’ll be able to take notes so you don’t miss anything important.
Montblanc is also launching a luxury set of cases for the Galaxy Note 4, made of Italian full-grain calfskin, grained, and carrying a palladium coated Montblanc emblem on the front. It also carries an embedded digital ID chip that will unlock special Montblanc content for users. The case looks like plenty of other folio type cases for the Note series we have seen in the past, but with a sleeker style and manufactured using more premium materials to pair nicely with the Montblanc Extreme ScreenWriter stylus. While we don’t have the prices on the Extreme ScreenWriter pen just yet, the case will set you back a hefty £160. That’s quite steep for a case, but then again if you’re going all out on the pen why stop there?
