We were on hand for Motorola’s semi-private event here in Chicago – well we are still here – and got our hands on the Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen. and took loads of pictures. Both at the event and after we got our review unit and left the place. So we put together this post to show you the Moto G in our hands and with Chicago as a background, because who doesn’t love Chicago? The new Moto G is going to be on sale for $179 unlocked and that is the 8GB model, the 16GB model will be a bit more (likely $199, but we don’t know for sure just yet).
Motorola packed in a 5-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with an Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, a 2070mAh battery, Android 4.4.4 KitKat (it’s got a guaranteed update to Android L as well) and a lot of other goodies. And to see all that in a phone at this price, it’s pretty amazing. And something that definitely caught our eye. So we’re going to be putting the Moto G through it’s paces over the next few days and weeks to do a full review, but in the meantime enjoy the tons of pictures we took for you, which are all down below in the gallery.
How many of you are interested in the Moto G? Especially since it is only $179 unlocked, and does have front-facing speakers and the most up-to-date version of Android? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
