Android How to: Setup Moto Voice on the Motorola Droid Turbo

The DROID Turbo was made official this week for Verizon. We were live at the event and have been using the DROID Turbo since Tuesday. So now it’s time to do a few tutorials and show you how to use the DROID Turbo. Today, we’re going to show you how to setup Moto Voice on the DROID Turbo, which is quite easy actually.

What you’re going to do here is go into the Moto app. So you’re going to jump into the App Drawer and tap on the Moto app. Now you’re going to tap on the gear icon in the top right corner which will take you to the settings. Now in the lower left corner you should see Moto Voice. Tap on that. Now you’re going to go through the prompts to set up Moto Voice. What it’s going to do is have you use your own custom phrase to launch touchless control. And then it’s going to record you saying it. This way it only responds to you and not other people. In the sample they use “OK Droid Turbo”, which you can use, or you can use any other phrase. That’s the beauty of Moto Voice. You can use whatever phrase you want. Which is pretty freaking awesome.

With Moto Voice you can say things like “OK Droid Turbo, take a selfie” and it’ll take a selfie of you. Or say “OK Droid Turbo, what’s up” and it’ll read your notifications and show you the time as well as saying it. Which is pretty helpful as well. We’ve got a video down below showing you how to setup Moto Voice.
