Fleksy Announces $2 Million In Funding For Further App Development Alongside Android Update

If you haven’t tried out Fleksy Keyboard yet, there really isn’t a better time to give it a shot as Fleksy has just pushed out their latest update to both the Android and iOS versions of the application. Fleksy has been an award winning keyboard with quick speed and accuracy, and today Fleksy is announcing that they have just secured $2 million in funding with participation from Digital Garage, Eniac Ventures, Middleland Capital, Highland Capital Partners and others, for further advancement of their keyboard technology to bring users even better features. Fleksy has seen impressive growth over its time being available on the Play Store, and this round of funding will be a way for them to continue that growth.

Since Fleksy’s arrival onto the Android platform during December of last year, Fleksy has seen over 2 million downloads, something that isn’t surprising given the commitment they have towards their users, offering things like customizable keyboard themes in addition to their fast and accurate typing experience, and ever expanding library of supported languages which they somewhat form off of user input for requested languages. The good news for users who have been considering giving Fleksy the time of day, is that today through Friday, Fleksy is putting their full version keyboard on sale for just $0.99, when normally it costs $3.99. It’s still a great deal at the original cost, but it’s definitely worth looking into when it’s $3 off.

Along with the price cut Fleksy has put out the latest update, which includes some notable new features and changes. First and foremost, you’ll get the usual bug fixes and improvements here just like with any update to any app generally. One thing for existing users to look forward to, is the new backspace and shift key layout, which lets users disable the legacy button layout under advance settings to move the shift and backspace keys to the bottom letter row. This will be increasingly useful for anyone who uses the small keyboard layout and uses the swipe to space functionality, the only drawback is that getting rid of the spacebar while using the small keyboard layout also removed the backspace key, which made it pretty difficult to use if you only wanted to delete one character in a typed word. Fleksy has also improved the language selection in minimal layout, implementing a tap and hold on letters to access different languages. You can grab Fleksy Keyboard here if you’re thinking about it checking it out.
