The Google Nexus 9 Is Officially Available For Pre-Order Through HTC's Webstore

The day has officially come where the Google Nexus 9 tablet is available for pre-order. The Play Store pre-orders went live just earlier but you can now grab the Nexus 9 pre-orders from HTC’s webstore as well. We expect plenty of people to be hitting the website trying to grab their own tablet whether it be in black, white,(sorry, no sand color directly from HTC)and either in the 16GB or the 32GB models. Google and HTC are also releasing an LTE model of the tablet, but expect to plunk down a little more for that model due to the capability to use the tablet off cell networks instead of just WiFi, which of course is nothing new.

The Nexus 9 features an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with 2048 x 1536 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio, protection from Gorilla Glass 3, an 8MP rear facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 1.6MP front facing camera with the same. It’s also running the Nvidia Tegra K1 64-bit Dual-Core Denver processor clocked at 2.3GHz with a 192 core Kepler GPU for the graphics. It has 2GB of RAM, and it’s powered by a 6700mAh battery. You can check the full list of specs here. The Nexus 9 is the most ambitious Nexus tablet to come from Google and the accompanying OEM yet, so if you needed a new tablet this would be the one we’d suggest.

As we mentioned yesterday however, the Nexus 9 went up for pre-order via Amazon so if you’re having problems getting through HTC’s official website, you can always hop to Amazon and grab it there and you’ll get free shipping if you’re an Amazon Prime member. Pending they have any left to pre-order and if you don’t want the Sand color of course, which it appears that they either won’t be carrying or just haven’t listed yet. Also absent from the Amazon site, at least yesterday, was the LTE model so if you want the ability to use the tablet while away from WiFi you might want to try your luck elsewhere. If you’re picking one up from either Amazon or the Play Store,(which you can find the link to here)let us know which one you grabbed and why, and what you’ll be looking forward to using it for most. You can find the pre-orders from HTC at the source link below too. Throw your thoughts in the comments on our G+ post.
