IUNI U3 Sold Out After The Initial Pre-Order Period, More Units Could Become Available Soon

China really is home to lots and lots of smartphones. Some of those devices are just not worth your attention, but there are more and more of those who are worth it. Companies like Xiaomi and Meizu are making really solid handsets for quite a while now while keeping them really affordable. There are of course Lenovo, Huawei and such brands which have been around for a long time, though their prices are nowhere near as affordable as those of Xiaomi and Meizu for example. Then there are companies like IUNI, manufacturers that not many people have heard of which are trying to make a name for themselves and in order to do that they have to offer something really compelling, IUNI is doing just that with its IUNI U3 device which was announced back in August.

The company has had several issues getting this thing through the door and we’ve heard conflicting reports regarding its launch, then about a week ago the company has opened up pre-orders for the device. The process works somewhat differently than you’re used to though, customers (from China) were able to pre-order the device until yesterday though you didn’t pay for it straight away. You need to pay IUNI from today (October 16th) until October 18th and the company will start shipping them after that date. For those of you who still haven’t reserved a copy, you’re not able to do so right now, though you might soon. IUNI’s official webpage says that the device is sold out, hopefully, we’ll see new units available soon.

Anyhow, IUNI U3 features a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display by Sharp along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz is powering this thing and comes with Adreno 330 GPU for graphics processing. 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s sensor) can be found o the back of the device while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper located up front. 3000mAh is also part of this package and the device comes with Android 4.4.4 OS out of the box with IUNI OS on top of it. This is an LTE capable device and as you can see it comes with really thin side bezels, which makes it really sleek looking. If you’re one to use more than 1 SIM card, you’re in luck, this is also a dual SIM capable device. On top of all of this, this device is built out of magnesium alloy and plastic and the best part in all this is that is costs only 2000 Yuan, for Chinese consumers only for now of course. As I said, it is sold out at the moment, but I believe IUNI will provide more copies shortly.
