The HTC Nexus 9 tablet is rumored to be getting the announcement and purchase availability starting October 15th, which is just this coming Wednesday, at a price of $399 for starting with shipping beginning November 3rd. While there is no confirmation on that just yet, what’s a price and launch leak without a leak of some specs to go with it? It’s like having the buns but not the meat and other trimmings to go with the burger. You’ve by now already seen the image leak of the HTC Nexus 9 that hit twitter not too long ago, posted by device leaker upleaks. Upleaks just so happens to be the person who has just recently leaked some hardware details about the upcoming tablet from Google and HTC, and just by the looks of things, if they pan out the hardware is off to a good start.
According to upleaks, the HTC Nexus 9 tablet will come with a QHD IPS display panel, that means 2K resolution just like we see on the LG G3 and are supposedly going to be seeing on the upcoming Motorola Nexus phone this year. Along with the screen resolution and screen type, we already know that the tablet will have near a 9-inch display, 8.9-inches to be exact. It’s also been rumored to be housing an Nvidia Tegra K1 chip on the inside for the processing power, and upleaks seems to be backing up that rumor with this leak, stating that it will house a TK1 CPU.
Upleaks also seems to think that the HTC Nexus 9 will come in either a 32-bit or 64-bit option, or perhaps he meant both. It’s hard to tell from the way that the tweet was worded. What also might be likely and this is what I’m personally thinking was meant to be typed up, is that it will have 32GB of storage with 64-bit architecture. That is merely a guess though. What do you guys think of these couple minimal leak details about the hardware? Are you excited about the HTC Nexus 9 and will you be buying one? If so will you be attempting to grab it on the 15th if that’s the day that it gets announced and launches? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
