The Meizu MX4 got released over a month ago and it has been selling like crazy ever since. The demand for this device has surprised even its manufacturer, Meizu. This Chinese company has faced delays when it comes to delivering these phones considering they just couldn’t handle the demand, but it seems Meizu has found its way and increased its production capacity along the way. We’ve been hearing rumors about MX4 Mini and MX4 Pro for a while now and Meizu’s Vice President, Li Nan, confirmed we’ll see Meizu MX4 Pro launched in November. If you’re interested in that device, check out the latest leaked render of it along with some more details about it, it sure look rather nice compared to previous rumors.
We’re not here to talk about MX4 Pro though, but the original Meizu MX4. Senior manager of Meizu had something interesting to show with the world, he teased yet another version of Meizu MX4, though he didn’t give us much to go on. He posted 2 teaser images of what seems to be a new version of the device compared to the current MX4. The only difference I see between the two is the different, shinier, back cover. This actually reminds me of my old Galaxy S3 as far as the back cover looks go, which is not exactly a good thing in my humble opinion. That material is not bad, by any stretch of the imagination, but it just looks cheap. The source mentions a different version of the device though it seems to me that the back cover is the only differentiating factor here, Meizu might get ready to sell some separate back covers or something. I could be wrong of course. Perhaps this is, in fact, a new version of the device.
What do you think? Do you see any difference between the two devices, aside from the different back cover? In any case, do you like the original Meizu MX4, would you ever consider getting a device like that (or perhaps you did already)? I really do think Meizu did a great job with that device and hopefully they’ll manage to leave the same footprint with their upcoming MX4 Pro, which will be a beast if rumors are to be believed.
