You have surely heard of Motorola’s Moto 360 right? Yes, you have! Its Motorola’s take on the smartwatch. You know the round one! While LG and Samsung were busy making square watches Motorola figured out people might actually like a round watch…you know like an actual watch. I know clever aren’t they! Well, as soon as the device was available it was no longer available selling out within a very short time. Since then its stock and availability has somewhat yo-yoed although it does seem to be back in continued stock both at the Play Store and Best Buy.
However, the device has yet to get the same level of availability in the UK. That was until today. Until now the Moto 360 was only available in the UK via O2 as a pre-order item. Although it now seems the UK carrier O2 have the device in-stock and are offering next-day shipping (as long as orders are made by 10pm UK time). In terms of price the 360 is being listed for £199.99 which is roughly $320. Yep, unfortunately those in the UK are paying quite a premium compared to the $249.99 Best Buy price in the US. In addition, the listing only seems to be offering the black strap with no mention of when the Stone or other straps will be available. If you are in the UK and can’t wait any longer for the device then head over now to the O2 listing and place your order.
If you are not so sure if you want it then here is the specs again to give you a quick reminder of what you are getting. The 360 comes with a 1.56″ LCD display with a 320 x 290 resolution. Inside the device offers 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and a Snapdragon 400 processor. The device is water and dust resistant and uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your Android device. In terms of size the 360 has a diameter of 46mm, is 11.5mm thick and weighs only 49 grams. The 360 does come with a 320mAh battery which did cause a lot of problems when it first launched with users complaining of very poor battery life. However, a recent update last week has seemed to redress the issue and now users are reporting much improved levels of battery and certainly enough for daily use.
