Motorola DROID Turbo Specs Leak out, Ahead of Verizon's DROID Event

Just this morning, Verizon made it known that they were going to be holding an event in New York City to announce the Motorola DROID Turbo on October 28th. Since then, Android Central has gotten their hands on a press picture of the device and the full specs. Which they say are the official specs, well unofficial until Verizon officially announces them, anyone else confused? The specs look really good, actually.

With the DROID Turbo we’re sitting at a 5.2-inch Quad HD Display – that’s 2560×1440 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 3900mAh battery which is rated to last 48 hours, and a 21MP camera which is capable of shooting 4K. It sounds like it’s the same camera Sony has in their Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3.

As far as software goes, we’re looking at Moto Voice, Moto Actions, Moto Assist, Moto Display, Motorola Migrate, Droid Zap, Highlight Reel, EAC, Quick Office, Zap Zone, Zap to TV, Zap with Voice. It’ll also be running on Verizon’s XLTE network, which shouldn’t be a surprise. As this is a DROID, it’ll be available on Verizon only. Which is a bit saddening, but there it is.

So there we have it. The DROID Turbo is going to be a beast! For those on Verizon, you’ve got a lot of nice choices for this fall. There’s the Moto X, DROID Turbo, Galaxy Note 4, and a few others from earlier in the year. It’ll be available in metallic red and metallic black. The red one is what’s pictured above, and damn does it look amazing. No word on when the DROID Turbo will be available, but we are looking at an event on October 28th, which I will be there for. So if you’re interested in the DROID Turbo, make sure to follow along.
