Motorola Droid Turbo: Things Are Going To Get Scary According to @DroidLanding

Motorola has not been shy in 2014 with a decent amount of devices being released and almost enough to topple Samsung as the leader in the number of different devices per year award. Although in reality Motorola are not that bad. It has though only been a couple of weeks since Motorola’s latest model and the current trendsetter, the Google Nexus 6 was unleashed. Well, if you haven’t been following the news you might have missed that Motorola have another big and bad device on the way and going by the name Motorola Droid Turbo. Yes, this is the latest in the popular Droid series of phones and it is shaping up to be a real good device or at least that’s what the leaks suggest. You see over the past few weeks there has been a serious amount of leaks around the Motorola Droid Turbo including numerous leaked images and even the spec and info pages. The leaks of course will all stop in the next few hours as tomorrow is the Verizon Droid event in New York where the Droid Turbo will make its first public outing. Our own Alex Maxham will be there to bring you all the news on Droid as it happens.

So today is the eve of the event and it seems Motorola are preparing for the event with somewhat of a Halloween feel. On the dedicated Droid Twitter page (yes it does have one) @DroidLanding an interesting post has gone up. The post simply states “Things are going to get scary, fast” along with the #Droid. But that’s not all. There is also a rather strange and surreal 8 second video posted which seems to show a part of a Gargoyle and a red scarf or cloth blowing passed. There is also a hand outstretched which may have either been trying to grab the red cloth or was throwing it. Either way its all a bit strange and Halloweeny. You can check out the video for yourself at the source link.

Want to know a bit more about the Droid Turbo? Well as mentioned tomorrow we should have all of the details for you, but for now it seems the Droid Turbo will come with a 5.2″ IPS display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside the device will come with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. Additional notable features include 32GB internal storage and powered by a large 3,900mAh battery. In terms of operating systems well this is to be debated. It will certainly be coming with at least Android 4.4.4 although some reports are suggesting it will come running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Either way tomorrow we’ll know for sure. Until then enjoy the creepiness that is Gargoyle.
