We thought sure that Google would be listing the Google Nexus 6 in Canada by the end of October – at least that’s what they led us to believe when their press release that said, “Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store later this month starting at $749.” Our source was clued by a trustworthy source that Google Canada planned on launching pre-orders October 29 – like the U.S. Possibly supply issues or some other type of delay popped up to change the date to early November. With Rogers and TELUS not committing to selling the Nexus 6 until ‘later this year,’ we really cannot pinpoint a date, but hopefully, it will be sooner, rather than later.
Everything is set for U.S. pre-orders to start today, October 29, but hopefully, it will make its way up to our northern brethren in Canada. It will be interesting to see how sales go with this new large Nexus device – it is a size and price that loyal Nexus users and followers are not used to seeing. Google made the switch from tamed down and reasonable pricing to the best that money can buy – a true flagship. The new Nexus 6 comes with a 6-inch QHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 493 pixels-per-inch (PPI). It is running the best Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.7GHz and coupled to 3GB of RAM. You can get a 32GB or 64GB model and there is no room for expansion…Google wants you to use the cloud for storage of your data files, not on the device.
If you pick up a new Nexus 6, you will be treated to a new 13MP main camera with auto-focus a dual-LED Ring Flash that encompasses the lens, and you will also get Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for shooting yourselves some great pictures. The front-facing camera (FFC) is a typical 2MP for video chats and selfies for social media. A 3220mAh battery will keep you charged all day long and if you need more, then plug in the Motorola Turbo Charger and in 15-minutes you will get a 6-8 hours charge. Great front-facing stereo speakers will keep you entertained and you will also be treated to the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop and all of the great improvements it brings to Android. Please hook up with us on our Google+ Page and let us know if you are waiting for the new Nexus 6 to arrive…as always, we would love to hear from you.
