Nexus 9 Hands-On Gallery

Just like we did for the Nexus 6 a little earlier on today, we’re sharing a handful of photos of the Nexus 9 in the flesh. During their New York City event, Google gave us a sneak peek at the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 before they start shipping out to those that pre-ordered. The Nexus 9 is still a departure from what Google have been doing for the past couple of years, like the Nexus 6 is, but it’s not that much of a departure. Growing to 8.9-inches, it certainly feels like a larger Nexus 7 and that 4:3 aspect ratio changes things in terms of its proportions. So, while the Nexus 9 is more of an iPad-like device than it is a Nexus 7, it’s still very much a Nexus tablet and essentially feels like a larger Nexus 7.

Just like the Nexus 6, we haven’t spent long enough with it to share much about how Lollipop performs on the incredible Tegra K1 that’s on the inside, but we’ll have more content in the next few weeks where that’s concerned. As for the device itself, HTC have done a good job with build quality here and the whole thing feels a lot more premium than ASUS’ effort with the Nexus 7 from last year. Still, the price tag reflects that, and there’s more screen, a much faster processor and some excellent accessories to go with this year’s tablet. Whether or not the Nexus 9 is worth it probably depends on whether or not you’ve already pre-ordered one.

Take a look at the gallery below for a quick look at the Nexus 9 and when we have chance to upload some more photos, we will do, so keep on checking back for a closer look at Google’s latest Android tablet.
