Rapoo announced their new A600 Bluetooth speaker recently. It’s a Bluetooth 4.0 speaker with NFC connectivity and something called Radiation Airflow Invert Technology to provide sound that stands above the rest. With the NFC pairing that is built into the speaker, you can just hold your NFC-enabled phone up to the speaker and it will automatically pair up. No need to go into your settings and enter any kind of a passcode. Bluetooth 4.0 means that the audio will be reliable, and it also means that you can make and receive calls using this speaker as well. It works at the typical Bluetooth range of up to 30 feet and the A600 supports connections with two devices at once.
The Radiation Airflow Invert Technology has me intrigued. Rapoo says that it “uses the backward pressure energy of the active speaker and runs it through passive speakers. That means it enhances the lower frequencies for richer and more powerful bass.” It’s an interesting concept and one that should make for a quality sound experience. The A600 has a battery that is supposed to get 10 hours of continuous music playback. It won the iF Product Design Award earlier this year. This is a slick looking aluminum speaker that is minimal in design and comes in five different colors.
Rapoo formed in 2002 with the aim of creating speakers and other electronics peripherals. They focus on making quality products that don’t cost a ton of money. Based in China, Rapoo has won several awards for their innovation and product designs. They have their own in-house design and development teams that work directly with their manufacturing plant to make sure that all of their products are well-crafted and well-built. The A600 is available now for $99.99 at Walmart and other retailers across the U.S. Check it out if you’re looking for a new Bluetooth speaker, or if you’re looking for something to replace what you currently have.
