Oppo is all over the news lately, the company is getting ready to launch their upcoming Oppo N3 flagship on October 29th and today the company even teased an additional device via Weibo. You can check out that post / image here, unfortunately, it doesn’t exactly reveal much. Some new reports from China say that Oppo is getting ready to launch the thinnest phone in the world, according to those rumors this device will be between 4 and 5mm thin. In comparison, the current thinnest phone in the world, Gionee Elife 5.1, is 5.1mm thick device. Could the phone from the teaser image be this mysterious 4-5mm thin device? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out. I thought this will be Oppo N3 Mini or something like that though it seems like Oppo might have something a bit different to show us. Gionee Elife 5.1 is an extremely thin device, I’d even argue it’s too thin, but it seems Oppo wants to beat that. This actually raises the question of how sturdy will this device be, 4mm definitely sounds too thin, I’m afraid this device might be easy to break. Oppo is known for the build quality of its devices, so hopefully they thought of that.
Oppo N3 will launch on October 29th, Oppo has confirmed that already. This will be company’s new flagship device and will sport a 16-megapixel rotating camera, judging by the information we have, this camera will be attached to some sort of a motor which will rotate it automatically. The details are scarce, but that sure sounds cool. We’ve already seen the partial image of the device and according to pre-order listings in some shops in China, this device will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 processor. Could this additional device Oppo teased really be that thin? Or do you think these are two completely different devices? I honestly don’t know what to believe at this point, Oppo sure did confuse us by releasing that teaser image and this newest rumors just added more confusion into the mix. N3’s launch is just a couple of days away, but I don’t doubt we’ll see more rumors, leaks and/or official info by then.
