Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Available in India on October 17

The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 keeps getting closer – it was revealed at the IFA Berlin in early September, but no pricing or availability was announced, which is par for the course.  Last week, Samsung sent out a map of the world (see below), showing just when and where the Galaxy Note 4 would be released.  Samsung India sent out a notice today citing that the Note 4 would arrive in stores on October 17 – one of the main dates on the map.

Soon the Galaxy Note 4 will be available in 140 countries – Samsung stepped up the date a little after Apple announced their new iPhone 6 Plus…designed to compete head-to-head against the Note 4.  Hopefully the U.S will also get their Note 4 on October 17 as well.  India knows for sure through the announcements/invitations sent out (see below).

As a refresher, the Galaxy Note 4 comes to us with a refresh of the Note 3 – upgraded slightly in all areas.  Starting with the outside – Samsung finally started using a full metal frame and beautifully sculptured edges and they kept the faux leather back sans the stitches and a beveled type 2.5D Gorilla Glass to help with reflections.  All-in-all it was just enough to make it look better and a more premium.

It sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels and 515 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  The processing power comes from either the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7GHz or the Exynos 5433 Octa-Core clocked at 1.9GHz/1.3GHz hooked up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory – but you can increase that by 128GB with a microSD card.  The main 16MP camera with auto focus, LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is a big improvement over the 13MP non-OIS Note 3 camera.  Samsung also used a larger and wide-angle lens 3.7MP on the front-facing camera (FFC)…this will make for a better-looking video chat and easier to get more people in your selfies.

It uses a 3220mAh and has a fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, UV and oxygen saturation monitor, and most importantly, the S-Pen and all the software that comes with it. So please let us know on our Google+ Page if you intend on picking up the Galaxy Note 4 when it arrives on October 17 or do you have your eyes set on another device…as always, we would love to hear from you.
